brscFSH
Regulatory Status: RUO
Other Names: Follicle stimulating hormone (or FSH), gonadotrophic hormone.
Description: FSH is a glycoprotein polypeptide hormone with alpha and beta subunits that plays a crucial role in the reproductive system of both males and females. It is synthesized and secreted by the gonadotropic cells of the anterior pituitary gland in response to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Source: Bovine FSH, amino acids beta chain (Met1 – Glu129) (Accession #NM P04837 UNIPROT) and alpha chain (Phe25 – Ser120) (Accession #NM P01217 UNIPROT) was expressed in CHO cells.
Molecular Mass: The 266 amino acid recombinant protein has a predicted molecular mass of approximately 28.80 kD. The DTT-reduced and non-reduced protein migrate at approximately 48 kD and 48 kD respectively by SDS-PAGE. The predicted N-terminal amino acid is His.
Purity: > 97% by SDS-PAGE gel as determined by Coomassie stained SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: 0.22 µm filtered protein solution is in sacarose 49.37 g/L, sodium citrate 14.3 g/L, methionine 0.7 g/L, tween 20 0.2 g/L, pH 7.0.
Concentration: 10 and 25 µg sizes are bottled at 200 µg/mL 100 µg size and larger sizes are lot-specific and bottled at the concentration indicated on the vial. To obtain lot-specific concentration and expiration.
Storage & Handling: Unopened vial can be stored between 2°C and 8°C for up to 2 weeks, at -20°C for up to six months, or at -70°C or colder until the expiration date. For maximum results, quick spin vial prior to opening. The protein can be aliquoted and stored at -20°C or colder. Stock solutions can also be prepared at 50 - 100 µg/mL in appropriate sterile buffer, carrier protein such as 0.2 - 1% BSA or HSA can be added when preparing the stock solution. Aliquots can be stored between 2°C and 8°C for up to one week and stored at -20°C or colder for up to 3 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Application: Bioassay
